Catholic Schools Day

Earlier this week we celebrated Catholic Schools day by walking down the beach and enjoying a school-wide mediation together. We then walked along different routes, back to school, delivering thoughtful messages to our neighbours mailboxes in the hopes of brightening their days. It was lovely to see the students show pride in their Catholic Faith and spend time as a whole school together.  Here are a few snaps of our walk down there and on the beach. We were also able to take some whole school photos... so keep an eye out for them!

Some stories about Thunder, Paddington and Blackie.

Some stories from our Language Experience! Videos are yet to come!

Duffy Books in Home!

In Term One, we had New Zealand author Maria Gill come and talk to us about all the adventures she had been on and the books she had published, before presenting us all with two wonderful books of our own. We are so lucky to have Duffy Books in Homes and have access to such wonderful books.  It is great to see the children so excited about them and engaged! A big thank you to Avonhead Rotary because without their support Duffy Books in Home would not be possible.

Flash Back to Camp Day

Junior Camping Day

During the first term the Junior team had a camping day while the senior students where away at their camp. We had a fantastic day exploring Rawhiti Domain and spending the afternoon at tent city participating in different activities. It was fantastic to see all the parent, grandparents, aunties and uncles come join in! I  created a slide show but for some technical reason some photos would not upload so I have included them as single uploads!  Hope this is up lifting for you all!

Thunder, Paddington and Blackie!

What a great morning we had today!

James, Michelle and Robert brought in their ponies, Thunder and Paddington, along with all their gear for the children to explore and learn about! The children got to brush the horses and watch Robert put on the saddles and bridles. He also cleaned and trimmed the horses feet. We can't wait to read all the wonderful stories or reports the children will write! Thank you Michelle and Robert!

We were also lucky to have Robyn and Lucy bring in their young chicken called Blackie!  She was so beautiful and calm around the children! What a treasure to have!  Thank you Robyn!!
